A new fisherman in the family.

One of Blake's favorite pastimes with his dad was fishing.  When Dave passed, Blake and his brother Luke inherited Dave's boat.  Unfortunately, the boat's motor was pretty old and it ended up dying just over a month ago.  Wanting to replace the motor to continue the family fishing times, the brothers decided to go in on a new boat together.  Of course, both wives had to agree and knowing how important their time on the water is to them, we both readily agreed.  While fishing takes Blake away from the family for hours at a time, it also is a form of therapy for both himself and Luke.  They have been such great support for each other through the loss of their friend, mentor and father.  Plus, Blake will always be able to share his love of fishing and boats with Caleb. (As well as Mommy and Elizabeth. Not sure if there will be anymore kiddos, but they would be included too!)

Caleb's first fish!

A real pro showing off his catch.

One of the biggest crappies Blake had ever seen from the lake.
Blake has taken Caleb out on the new boat twice now and Caleb has proved to be a successful fisherman.  He loves when the boat goes fast and was super proud to show me pictures of his first catch.  It really warms my heart to see Blake spending such precious time with Caleb.  I know Caleb loves his one on one time with his Daddy.
