Saturday marked Elizabeth's half birthday. Yes that is right, my baby girl is 6 months old! I really feel like she should be 3 or 4 months. I love watching her grow and change, but I am sad that my "little" baby is disappearing.
I am excited that Elizabeth is still nursing strong! She doesn't show any signs of wanting to stop and still seems satisfied so we are going to keep going. Of course, I am getting over bronchitis so I am going to have to work on my hydration status to keep my supply up. My next goal will be to make it to 9 months!
Elizabeth is now sitting up for short periods of time all by herself. She loves to hold onto her toys and roll around naked. She is quite vocal and is making all kinds of sounds these days. Caleb is always suprised when she is "talking." He is still her favorite person and I am thankful he likes her just as much.
So far, I have been making all of Elizabeth's baby food with a little food processor that we got for Christmas. Super easy and it costs so much less than buying prepackaged food, even using organic fruits and veggies. Her faves are butternut squash, pears, and peas. I think we will try peaches and plums next.
