For Blake's birthday we invited a bunch of our friends over to grill out and enjoy the start of summer. Blake did the last minute shopping with his brother Luke and I cleaned house. Our guests included Luke, his fiance Danielle and her son Connor, Doug, Katie and baby Sarah, Andrea and Nate, Kris, Megan and Brian. Yeah for friends! We put water in the baby pool for the boys and they enjoyed playing in the backyard. Blake made a cornhole set for the occasion too. The guys grilled hotdogs, hamburgers and metts. We also had a fruit bowl, sinful cheesy potatoes, and some of Katie's yummy dips. Blake and some of the others had just started to play cornhole when the thunder, lightening and rain started! We all hurried inside. There was actually a tornado warning with sirens and all! Fitting since Blake was born in Kansas during 5 tornados! Most everyone watched tv and chatted in the living room. Megan, Brian and I sat in the dining room and talked. The countdown is on as Meg is 38 weeks preggo! Julia could come at any moment! For dessert, we had brownies, chocolate chip cookies and my rasberry custard pie. We lit some candles to celebrate all the May birthdays. (Blake, Kris, Katie, Doug and Nate.) Then we just hung out until the storm cleared and everyone headed for home. It was a good time and you would not believe how much beer is left over!!
