Giving Thanks 2008

Thanksgiving was also Caleb's 10 month brithday! By this age, he was pulling up on all objects he could reach and cruising around the house. His first little tooth was just visible under his gums and he was eating almost all tablefood and drinking from his sippy cups. What a big boy he has become!

We had a lot to be thankful for this year. Our biggest blessing of course was and still is Caleb. Our Thanksgiving celebrations started off in Piqua at Blake's great Aunt Barb and Uncle Jim's house for a late lunch. It is always crazy fun because of all the people that show up. They average 35! That includes around 10 kiddies. Caleb wasn't shy and let Blake's cousins hold him and he loved watching the other kids run around. One of the kids, Ella, asked me what my brother's name was! I told her my little boy's name was Caleb and she replied "Oh. My brother is Henry." I just laughed. I guess I do look young! Caleb really enjoyed his first Thanksgiving meal especially Judy's chicken and noodles.

We then traveled a little over an hour to my parent's house. We hoped Caleb would take a nice nap in the car since it was is normal afternoon nap time. He decided it would be better to talk and "read" the entire car ride! So by the time we arrived he was fussy.

My parents hosted my entire Dad's side of the family. We had a crowd! It was exciting to have everyone all together since it rarely happens. My Granny was thrilled to have her 4 great-grandbabies all under one roof. Caleb ate some more yummy food and especially loved my mom's sweet potato casserole! Slides right down. My pumpkin pie was a hit with him too.

Overll, it was a fun, busy day. I was exhausted after doing it all on no sleep. (I worked the night before)

Our Thanksgiving continued on Saturday at Blake's dad's house. We ate an early dinner and Caleb enjoyed more yummy food and his silly Grampy.
