November brought the cool weather and holiday fun. Blake and I both voted in the 2008 election. Can't say we really liked either candidate so we can only wait and see what happens with that.
Caleb and Blake were able to celebrate Abby's second birthday with the family. I had to work and couldn't go. Caleb really liked the wagon she received from my parents. They both had to sit in it during the party.
Caleb came down with his first real illness. I came home from work on a Wednesday and Blake's mom said she thought Caleb felt warm and maybe was teething. I took his temperature and it was over 101. I gave him some tylenol before his am nap. When he woke up a few hours later, he was burning up. His temp was 103.2! I immediately called the pedi and gave him some baby Motrin. We saw the Dr and they did a strep test and said it looked viral. Caleb was so miserable. He never falls asleep in my arms but that is all he did that day. We read books and he napped on my chest. It was horrible not being able to make him feel better. Even with tylenol and motrin around the clock, his fever was still there for 24 hours. By Friday, he was feeling a little better and at his follow up appt. the pedi said he was in the clear and strep free.
We had a family picture taken for Christmas at Sears. It was a crazy time because it was a Saturday and the place was packed. Never again will we go on the weekend!
Caleb finally got his first tooth at 10 months. We noticed the white poking through his gums after Thanksgiving. We thought he would be toothless forever.
