What's new with the Cripes???

Well, a lot has been going on around these parts lately!  The blogging world was left on the wayside while we have been busy living life.  Rather than try and go back in time to recount our adventures, I will just update what is new with each member of our family.

After returning from our fabulous vacation in Maui, Blake jumped right into his summer football routine getting ready for his second season with the varsity Indians. The kids and I have enjoyed a few games. And more importantly the team is having a great season! They are currently 8 and 1 with one last regular season game to play. Blake is anticipating at least one playoff game and the whole town of Norwood is pretty stoked about their winning team. Such a welcomed change from last year. His school year in the classroom is going pretty well also. He does have a rough group of kids in a few classes that add an extra challenge to his work.



14.5 weeks pregnant. 

I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with our third blessing! Yep, we snuck that in right before we left for our Hawaii trip and baby #3 is due March 16th. It really is crazy how fast a pregnancy goes by when you are working full time, taking care of 2 kids and the house. I am feeling pretty well and baby looked great at our anatomy scan last week. I have to say "baby" because this one is going to be a surprise. I am excited for that even if it means I can't really get the nursery completely ready beforehand.

 

Caleb 4.5 years old.

Caleb is doing well with his new adventure of preschool. We decided last minute that if we could afford it, he would benefit from some time away from home to prepare him for all day kindergarten. He is going 3 days week and even gets swim lessons on Wednesdays. He has made a few friends and seems to be learning. We are trying to work on Caleb becoming a little more independent by putting his shoes on by himself and putting his dishes in the dishwasher. He would rather mom or dad do it all for him so this is a challenge. Caleb finally got his wish of having Elizabeth sleep in his room. We got bunkbeds and Elizabeth has started the transition of sleeping in a big bed. We haven't moved her in completely, but she sleeps in there about 3 nights a week.

Elizabeth is now 2!!! She has definitely changed a lot lately. Talking all the time, picking out her own clothes, using the potty some, and sleeping in Caleb's room. Her favorite things right now are baby dolls, coloring, eating everything, and changing her clothes. She is super obsessed with babies and will probably be thrilled to find out that we are having one of our own in March. I have told her a baby is growing in mommy's belly, but I'm not sure that means anything quite yet.

We are enjoying the fall and nice weather.  Football games, a trip to Young's Dairy Farm, family get togethers and evenings at home.
