New babies all around!

Over the last two months, our family has welcomed two new baby boys.  My brother-in-law Luke and his wife Danielle added Lincoln Robert Cripe to their brood on April 13th.  He joins his two older brothers and is such a cute little peanut.  His birth brought much excitement as Luke and Blake had left for a fishing trip when Danielle called to say she was in labor 3 weeks early.  Luke barely made it to the birth!  Caleb and Elizabeth just love checking Lincolnn out every time we get together.  He is a sweet, laid back little guy that we are happy to watch grow.  Elizabeth is obsessed with babies these days and just can't get enough!

My youngest sister Megan and her husband Chris became parents on May 6th.  Megan was due on May 2nd and was praying that she would go into labor on her own.  Her pessimistic Ob had told her she would end up with an induction and probablya c-section.  And there was no indication for either being necessary.  This caused lots of unnecessary stress and anxiety for my already anxious sister.  Luckily, she had lots of my hippy internet friends and church friends praying for her.  And sure enough, contractions started and her water broke on May 5th.  I was blessed to be a part of her long labor and am proud of how she toughed out almost 17 hours of natural labor without an epidural, several with pitocin going!  She did get an epidural, but pushed through an awesome vaginal delivery!  I loved every minute.  I got to man Megan's camera and I swear I captured some of the sweetest first moments for the new family of three.  It was a blessed experience that I will always hold dear.  Jack Chandler Perdue you are a wonderful blessing!
