Last weekend we finally made it up to Columbus to visit my sister and brother-in-law Chris. I picked the weekend first weekend of October almost 2 months ago so we would plan things ahead of time.
When we first got there, Megan gave me a tour of their townehouse. The tour included a look at their finished basement and soon-to-be nursery! That's right, they are expecting a baby in early May.
I was super excited to hear the news and so glad Meg was able to tell me in person. Yeah for having someone to pass baby clothes and things along too. And she is interested in borrowing my cloth diapers too!
We spent Saturday just hanging out at their place since we got there in the evening.
Sunday we ate a pancake breakfast. Chris and Blake ran to Kohls so Blake could get some new jeans. Yes the boys went shopping! While they were gone, Megan and I took the kids to a nearby park to burn off some energy. Caleb was in a little funk and not the funnest little person to be around. I tried to snap some pictures of him playing and he was not interested to say the least.

Then after a little lunch, the guys kept the kids so Megan could show me around downtown Worthington. It was SO nice to walk around and browse through lots of cute little shops and boutiques. I got a cool mirror and got some deocrating ideas. We got yummy pastries at an adorable French restaurant and had a chance to catch up. We talked about the new baby and all the emotions that comes along with becoming a new mom. Like with Caleb, this baby is a little bit of a surprise. Despite that, I know that Megan will be an awesome mommy and she will have all the support I can give her even from 2 hours away. It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of our busy fall life and enjoy some special family time. I am really looking forward to more trips to C-bus and watching that baby bump grow!
