A party for our sweet girl!

Sunday we celebrated Elizabeth's first birthday.  Yes, our sweet girl is turning one.  I really cannot believe that a whole year has passed since we welcomed Elizabeth Grace in to our family.
We decided that we would brave the August heat and have her party at one of the parks in Reading. I thought having a party somewhere besides our house would be less stressful, but I forgot about all of the things we would have to transport to the park. The grill, the highchair, coolers for drinks, food containers, and decorations. Luckily we had help and it all worked out. We didn't really have a theme for the party like we always have had for Caleb. But Elizabeth has a cute dress with watermelons on it and Blake came up with the idea of making a watermelon cake. Pretty cute so we ran with that. Everything else just kind of matched the colors pink and green. Easy enough and girly!

The cake and inspiration.

The birthday girl and her proud parents!
The large shelter worked great to provide shade from the sun and later into the party protection from a downpour! Yes, it started raining cats and dogs as we were helping Elizabeth open her gifts.

Elizabeth is going to be one of the best dressed one year olds around. This girl received so many cute outfits, a pair of shoes, and a coat. Talk about being spoiled. She loved all the attention and the help from her cousins and big brother. Caleb, Connor and Abby enjoyed the rain showers and were soaked from running around in the rain. At least it was warm and there were no tears from getting all wet!

Cake time!

Yummy!

All smiles after smashing her  cake!
Elizabeth was quite the cake eater as we all knew our little eater would be.  She made a mess, but managed to get a lot of that pink and green iced cake in her little mouth.  So fun to watch.
Her party was a success and I am thankful for all of our friends and family that came to celebrate with us.  Now to get through her actual birthday tomorrow.  I am sad to see my "baby" grow up so fast.

I'd like to spread that cake on her little vagina and then lick it all off her
