Today was a great day. Caleb and I spent the late morning and afternoon at a park with our friends Katy and Cameron. We even ate lunch there. Caleb was all over the playground, dug in the sand, and enjoyed the swings. So much fun and I am sure we will do it again soon.
Once we got home, I thought Caleb would be wiped out and take a good nap. Oh no, not Caleb. He played in his room for over an hour and never fell asleep. So we took Lily on a walk.
After dinner Caleb took a much needed bath. He almost always pees once he gets out of the tub and I always have him sit on his potty. He sits willingly and we count to 10 and do the ABC's. Then he is done and usually pees on the floor. Well, tonight we did the same and as soon as he stood up I could tell he was going to pee. I quickly sat him on his potty and sure enough he started to go. At first I think we was a little scared or maybe just surprised because he stopped. Then I started to get excited and said " Yeah, Caleb made pee pee in the potty! Go buddy!" He continued to pee and seemed pretty excited himself.
I realize this is just a beginning, but am thinking one pee will only lead to more. Time to make a potty poster for keeping track and get a treat jar to reward him when he does go.
Maybe we will get pottytraining done by the time the new baby arrives!

Yay for you and Caleb! Potty training can be difficult, but once they are ready it can be the easiest thing ever! We tried last summer before ELla was 2 and had fits. I didn't push it and waited until Fall Break. She was trained by the end of the week! Of course you always have accidents, but it is so nice knowing it's done! :) Congrats!
