18 months old!

Caleb turned 18 months old last Monday. Of all the ages he has been, this sounds so old to me! It never fails that I am amazed by how he grows and changes more each day. I am seeing glimpes of a little boy and the baby in him is fading. :( This makes me sad. At the same time, Blake and I are loving the fun we have with our toddler.

Caleb's favorite activities still include playing with megablocks, reading any books he can find, dancing to music, playing with the hose, and his cars. He loves to wave to the cars that go by and trucks are very cool! Caleb's favorite people besides Mommy and Daddy are cousin Abby and Aunt Kate. He and Abby are beginning to really play together and have so much fun. He imitates her and she wants to take care of Caleb.

Caleb is talking more and probably says 30 words or so. Blake and I are still the best at interpreting , but it is getting easier to decipher his little language.

Caleb now weighes 24lb 6 oz and is 33 inches tall. I have always been worried about his growth since he dropped percentiles around 4 months of age. It was silly because he is fine. I just worried too much about him being small compared to other kids. I think I am over that now! He never really took a pacifier, but is still a thumb-sucking champ. Whenever he finds one of his blankies his thumb finds its way to his mouth. I am not going to worry about breaking this habit for awhile since he has been a champ with every other weaning process.
