July so far...

Where has the time gone! It is already July. It has been so different to have Blake home everyday. He has taken over the cooking. Of course, he usually does a lot of it anyway! I am really lucky to have a husband with such culinary skills.

Last week my brother and his boyfriend ( still have a hard time with this) came home for a few days. Thankfully, I was off and we went to hang out at my parent's house. Caleb got to play with Uncle Jared and Anthony. After putting Caleb down in the crib, we played Hearts. We also went to Kate's on Thursday and spent time with Jared, Anthondy, Megan, Kate and Abby. The kids played and we ate pizza before I had to go to work.

I worked the weekend of the 4th so Caleb was with Blake. Friday the two of them spent the evening at Katie and Doug's house. Kendra and Brian were there with their kids and apparently Caleb and Josie were quite the pair. Blake said they would play and give each other hugs. So sweet.

Saturday, Blake took Caleb up to Piqua to visit Mimi. On their way they stopped to say hi to my Grandpa and thank him for his graduation gift to Blake. Up in Piqua, they enjoyed some dinner from the Fourth of July Festival. Later, Blake let Caleb get up from sleeping to watch the fireworks. Caleb wasn't scared and ooohed and awwwed with everyone else.

I ended up getting off early from work that night so I was able to sleep in my own bed! I was glad because I hate having to waste the daylight by napping the next day. Blake went golfing with friends Sunday. Kate and I took the kids to Sharon Woods. We got a workout pushing the strollers on the path and then chased after the kids on the playground. Caleb loved the area with water and got soaked. I was prepared with extra clothes and towels! Later that evening, Leighann called and we went to the movies to see My Sister's Keeper. It was alright. Different from the book and of course very sad! I splurged and got the 1-2-3 snack pack! It had a small soda, a small popcorn and a bag of M&M's. It was a deal at $6 compared to a $4 small drink.

I haven't brought myself to go see the movie because I heard that it is different from the book, and i don't know if I would like it!
