Week in review!

Monday, Blake convinced himself to play hooky from student teaching so he could take us to the zoo. We invited Katy and Cameron to join us. The weather started off a little cloudy and with sprinkles, but then cleared up. It ended up being perfect. We saw the giraffes which came up very close to us. Caleb actually noticed them this year! We walked all over and let Caleb out of his stroller to walk too. We ate lunch and spent about 3.5 hours there. Caleb was pretty well behaved and even fell asleep on the way home which never happens. It was a day well spent!
Tuesday I slept while Dave watched Caleb. They played and had fun as usual. Grandpa brought Caleb a bubble gun. Caleb loves bubbles and can even say the word! Judy came over Tuesday evening. We ate Chinese for dinner before I headed back to work.
Wednesday after napping, Caleb and I went to the grocery store. We made it to the checkout without a meltdown and got everything on our list! Oh the little accomplishments in life!
Thursday we played at home. Blake and I relaxed while Caleb napped. Blake had his track banquet that evening. Caleb and I went to Tricia's house to hang out. We had so much fun hanging out with Tricia, Hayden, Elijah, Megan, Lindsay, and Isabella. Caleb and Hayden were so cute running around the house. I really enjoyed the time with other moms/ women that share similar values and morals. I hope Caleb is as well mannered as Hayden when he becomes a terrible 2 year old!
Today Caleb and I slept in. Then we ate breakfast, played, he took a nap, ate lunch outside, took a walk with Blake and Lily and played some more. I went out to eat with my friend Katy for her birthday. It was actually not as much fun as I anticipated. I just don't have much in common with some of Katy's friends. I am so thankful for the good friends that I do have. Megan, Ashley, Steph, Leighann, Kate, Meg- you girls are the real deal!! I would have had just as much fun home with Blake. Overall another good week. Lots to be thankful for.
