Living Greener

So, I have been trying over the past 4 months or so to live greener and simpler. Some things are very easy to give up or change. Recycling has always been a part of my life so that is a no brainer. Reducing paper usage of every kind is a little tougher! Cloth diapering is pretty easy and I actually like doing it. (yes even the extra laundry) I like seeing the diapers drying in the sun! I know I am a cornball, Blake makes fun of me all the time. But I don't care. It works for me and is better for the earth that my GOD created. I have been buying organic fruits and veggies, snacks, and green cleaning items. My next idea is to get/make a compost for the backyard. Blake probably won't be much help, so it will be my project! Lowes has a kit that was around $50 so I will look into it. My garbage will be empty!

This week is Earth Week. I went to Target today and got a free reusable bag. I was psyched because I had left mine at home! Score! There are also some great giveaways that I have signed up for. They are on Apsychmommy.blogspot.com. She has a great blog and has giveaways all the time for green household and baby products. I would love to win something!

I think that valuing the space that God gave us and doing our best to preserve it for our children is an act of worship. Keep up the good work Lauren-I'm proud of all the things you are doing for your family!
