Big news, just a little late.

I have neglected this blog big time! It is too much to catch up on over a month's worth of happening.

The biggest news is that we are expecting our second child this coming August 30th. We found out on December 21st and wasted no time telling family during our Christmas celebrations. For my family, we wrapped up a big brother shirt and Caleb opened it up as the last gift. It was a little of a surprise as we moved up our trying to conceive plans by a few months.
Then on Christmas Day, I snuck off to change Caleb's diaper and put the shirt on Caleb. He just ran out to open presents with it on and one by one everyone realized what it said. It was really priceless and we got some great reactions.

Caleb doesn't really understand it all yet. He will pull up my shirt and say "hi baby." It is very cute and then he proceeds to do the same to his belly. :)

We also celebrated Caleb's 2nd birthday a few weeks ago. While it is sad to think he is growing up so fast, I love that he is interacting with Blake and me more and talking up a storm. I am so amazed at his growth and the little personality he is developing. He really is so smart and funny. He is currently learning to count, but skips number one for some reason. He knows most of his colors and will repeat the alphabet when we say it. Cars, trucks, dinosaurs, books and animal figures are his favorite toys at the moment.

It has been quite the winter and we are in the midst of recovering from another mini blizzard. Caleb has enjoyed taking snow walks, sledding with Papi, and chasing Lily. We even built a snowman with Luke and Connor.
