We started the day with a visit to Blake's grandparent's house. We visited with them for a little while and they got to see Caleb. He entertained them and showed off his cruising skills. Caleb enjoyed chasing after Linda's dog Penny. It was good to see Grandma and Grandpa Cripe as it had been a long time. They seemed to enjoy the visit.
Then we drove back down to Fairfield for dinner at my Grandpa's house. This year was/is the first year without Grandma. It was strange to not see her sitting on the couch. Grandpa did a great job decorating the tree and house. He even had lights on the house. Dinner was good. Caleb was a tired boy because he had not napped, but he put on a smiley face and played with Abby. He was a social guy and visited with my aunt and cousins. He enjoyed opening some presents and really liked his Little People Farm. Blake and I were excited to receive a digital photo frame from my Grandpa. It has been great for displaying the many pictures we have taken of Caleb!
My mom made her annual ice cream cake and we sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus." The kids (Caleb and Abby) got to blow the candle out together. They needed some help from Papi though.
