Saying goodbye to Grandma May 2008

I am slacking when it comes to posting updates! May was a stressful month. My grandma became ill and was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. She spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital and then spent her last week in hospice. She went to meet Jesus on May 11, 2008. It was Mother's Day. It was so hard to say goodbye, but I found peace knowing she was no longer in pain and was praising God with the angels. I am so glad she was able to meet Caleb and see me become a mom. My first Mother's Day was spent with my family. We just reminisced about all of the fun times we had with Grandma. From Blake and Caleb received a new digital camera and a dogwood tree for our backyard. My friend Steph also suprised me with lovely flowers.

Caleb went to the visitation for Grandma and all of her friends enjoyed meeting him. My friend Katy watched him duing the service and funeral. It was very nice and good to be with family during a sad time. Poor Grandpa. He had taken such good care of Grandma and he was so worn out from working so hard. I am so lucky that I got to spend so much quality time with my grandparents while I was growing up. I can only pray that Caleb's childhood is filled with wonderful memories of his grandparents. He is lucky to have so many people that love him.
